Las Creepypastas are stories of terror that are spread through the Internet, with the intention of generating an intriguing one in the reader.
The name derives from “copypaste”, which refers to any text copied and pasted between Internet forums.
Pueden parecerse a leyendas urbanas, although some times they do not meet in text format, but in images, videos or video games.
What causes the most intrigue or morbidity among users is when a creepypasta refers to something hidden or seen in some TV program, like an episode lost or something out of style.

There were also some that were taken for creepypasta but then it was discovered that they were true, like in the case of the Deep Web.
